Conveyor Belt Components and Spare Parts from Germany

Conveyor lines run every shift. When a belt, drive, sensor or safety device fails, the whole line stops. VBN Vertriebs GmbH in Offenburg, Germany, supplies original components and spare parts for conveyor belts and conveyor lines from German manufacturers: for food, beverage and bottling plants, textile mills, paper production, quarries and stone processing, and for the automation and modernisation of existing lines. We ship worldwide by air or sea freight with all export documents and answer inquiries within 24 hours.

Components for conveyor belts and conveyor lines

One inquiry can cover the whole drive train and control of a conveyor:

Conveyor and power transmission belts for transporting products and for power transmission.
Conveyor chains and sprockets, made to specification, with attachments and carriers where needed.
Geared motors and electric motors, together with frequency inverters for speed control and soft starts.
Servo and hydraulic drives for precise positioning, heavy loads and mobile equipment.
Sensors and connection technology: inductive and optical sensors, fieldbus modules and cables for presence, position and jam detection.
Safety switches and safety relays, including emergency stop rope pull switches and guard door switches.
Vibrators for hoppers and chutes to keep bulk material flowing.
Pneumatic components: cylinders and valves for sorting, pushing and transfer units.

Conveyor components by industry

Food, beverage and bottling lines

Food and beverage lines run in wet, clean environments and change formats often. Components need to be corrosion-resistant, easy to clean and reliable under washdown, where required. Typical needs are belts and chains for product transport, geared motors and inverters for smooth speed control and format changes, sensors for bottle, can and package detection, and safety devices for guarded zones. Tell us the product (dry, wet, greasy), the cleaning method and the temperature, and we propose suitable components. See also our pages for the food industry and the packaging industry.

Textile industry

Textile lines move light to medium loads, but they need precise, steady speed and synchronisation between machines, while dust and lint settle on drives and sensors. We supply drives and inverters for accurate speed control, belts and chains for transport and power transmission, and sensors for presence and position detection. See our textile industry page.

Quarries, stone and aggregates

Conveyors in quarries and stone processing carry heavy, abrasive material over long distances, outdoors and in dust. This calls for robust geared motors, hydraulic drives for mobile and heavy-duty equipment, rope pull emergency stop switches along the belt, and vibrators at hoppers and chutes to prevent blockages. See also our mining industry page.

Paper and board

Paper mills and converting plants run continuously in humid conditions and place high demands on drive control. We supply drives, inverters, sensors and safety devices for the internal transport of reels, bales and packaged goods, as well as spare parts for existing systems.

Automation and modernisation of existing lines

Many conveyor lines can be improved without replacing the whole system:

Speed control with frequency inverters for smooth starts, less mechanical stress and, where the load varies, lower energy use.
Sensors for presence, jam and position detection, so the line reacts automatically instead of relying on operators.
Safety upgrades: rope pull switches, guard door monitoring and safety relays that meet current machine safety requirements.
Fieldbus and connection technology to integrate drives and sensors into your existing controls.
Replacement of obsolete components with current equivalents where a successor exists. Send us the old type designation and we check.

Replacement parts: what to send us

For a quick and correct quote, send us as much of the following as you have:

Photo of the nameplate and the type designation or part number
Photos of the part from several sides, with a ruler in the picture for mechanical parts
Application and operating conditions: product, temperature, wet or dry, dust, cleaning method
Quantity and destination country
Whether it is a planned shutdown or a breakdown

For chains see our guides on how to request a replacement conveyor chain and on wear and replacement of bushed and roller chains. For chain, drive and belt from one supplier see our page on the complete conveyor package.

Frequently asked questions

Which components do you supply for conveyor belts and conveyor lines?

Belts, chains and sprockets, geared motors and electric motors, frequency inverters, servo and hydraulic drives, sensors, safety switches and relays, vibrators for hoppers and chutes, and pneumatic components.

Can you supply components for food and beverage lines?

Yes. Tell us the product, the cleaning method and the temperature, and we select suitable components together with the manufacturer.

Can I order spare parts if I only have a photo or the type label?

Yes. A photo of the nameplate or the part, together with the application, is usually enough for a first quote.

Do you supply complete conveyor systems?

No. We supply components and spare parts for conveyor belts and conveyor lines, not complete conveyor systems.

How fast can you deliver?

Delivery time depends on the part and the destination. We confirm lead time and shipping method with the quote, and urgent breakdowns can go by air freight.

Request a quote — 24h response. Send us a nameplate photo, a part number or a drawing, and we will come back with price, lead time and country of origin.
